A Sneak Peak of Puerto Rico

When most people talk about moving somewhere warm for the winter… its just a fantasy (unless your are retired with savings of course : ).  My sister on the other hand… actually made it happen.  Karri and her daughter, Kelly, are living there for the school year, aborting the stresses of the cold & long Minnesota winter.  I’d have to agree… the beach and rainforest seems like the way to go.  Its Kelly’s first year of kindergarten and she’s in an Spanish immersion school… getting schooled in all kinds of ways I am sure. Karri is doing message and facials.  They found a home to rent that is spacious, hot and has 4 pad locks to get through before you enter the house!!!

My mother and I visited them in November… it was very very hot & humid, lots of mosquitoes (so small you cant see them), and plenty of stop and go traffic in the city.  On the much brighter side, there were beautiful beaches, sacred rainforests, the healing rays of the sun, culture, awesome Puerto Rican food, good people and company : ) Special thanks to my mom for taking me on this trip with her (love ya!). I’d have to say my favorite part was swimming under the waterfall after hiking in the rainforest… what a revitalizing treat that was!

The following images are just the tip of the beautiful and encompassing land of Puerto Rico.  Congrats on following through with your dream Karri!
